Day One & Two: Depart from Seattle via Amsterdam, Netherlands. Layover in Amsterdam for a day. Take in the sights.
Day Three: Fly to Arusha, Tanzania. Arrive at The Ngurdoto Mountain Lodge at night, approx. 10:30. You go straight to bed, though the anticipation of what the next has in store is is building.
Day Four: One first full day in Tanzania, East Africa. You'll take-in the sights, to be acclimated, as you tour the town of Arusha and an open market. The city is rich with culture and busy with merchants.
Day Five: You embark on your first wildlife adventure. You'll hop aboard a plane and fly to the Serengeti National Park. On our way we'll see breathtaking landscape and terrain. You'll have an afternoon game drive through the park before your dinner in the magical sunset in the Serengeti.
Day Six & Seven: Two full days in the Serengeti. After breakfast you'll go out for morning game drives (best because its cool and animals are grazing). After the morning drives you'll come back to the resort for lunch and a few hours of rest. In the evening you'll go out for evening game drives and sunset and then come back to the resort for dinner.
Day Eight: After breakfast you'll go out for a mid-morning game drive with a packed lunch. You'll start driving towards Ndutu Lodge. You'll drive through the Serengeti and arrive at Ndutu Lodge in the evening. You'll spend the night at Ndutu lodge, a secluded and serene lodge.
Day Nine: You'll drive towards the moving sand with packed lunch, as you make your way to the big destination of the day: The Olduvai Gorge where we'll stop for a short tour at the museum. After lunch you'll drive to Ngorongoro Crater to spend the night at the beautiful Serena Lodge.
Day Ten: You'll spend the day on the floor of the Ngorongoro crater and then drive to Lake Manyara for dinner and overnight.
Day Eleven: After a morning game drive at Lake Manyara National Park, you'll drive to Tarangire National Park for Lunch. you'll stay the night in a luxurious tent camp with a magnificent scenery.
Day Twelve: After a morning game drive and lunch in Tarangire National Park, your guide will drive you back to you "home away from home" The Ngurdoto Mountain lodge for dinner and relaxation.
Day Thirteen: You'll have a rare opportunity to share in the lives and culture of the Masai people. We'll experience how they live and see how they make their famous bead jewelry.
Day Fourteen: Today, we meet kindergarten students (at Sluys/Anderson Primary School) as we tour their school in a small mountain village. Before lunch, the students will sing for you and you'll have the opportunity to engage with them.
Day Fifteen: Do whatever you want. You can choose to go shopping, play golf or just relax. Transportation will be provided for those wanting to go shopping.
Day Sixteen & Seventeen: Leave for, and arrive back home.
